3 things you need to start IPS In Person Sales or In Person Service in your photography business.

And you probably already have them..

I absolutely know that the thought of changing things in business can feel like you are at the bottom of  huge hill….AND with just everyday life in the mix too its understandable that taking those first steps are always put off for another day. However, what if I told you that you only need THREE things to get started with IPS…and you can started tomorrow because you probably already have them!

The first thing you need to get started with IPS is a laptop or desk top to play a slide show…..you don’t need a projector, you don’t need a huge TV on the wall and you don’t need that lovely Dell screen…it would be nice and its on the list ofcourse BUT definitely NOT a requirement to get started.

That slide show that you are going to show on your laptop/desktop ….that doesn’t need to be IPS software to get started. You probably already have Lightroom and/or imovie ….that’s all you need to present a slide show to your client…..whilst you are doing that you can search the IPS softwares out there and have a play around with them, find which one suits your needs best.

You also need to make time for a viewing appointment! …I know, I know, you don’t have an extra hour or so for clients to come back, clients don’t even want to come back, they want to view at home…BUT WAIT…..I can tell you that your clients DO want to come back for IPS, they need your help….you know so much more about prints size, products, what will work well for their images than they do….AND they are highly likely to spend more as you add value to your service….if a client is going to spend double or more at a viewing appointment… I’m sure you’ll find that appointment time.

How do I know this? Because when I set up business 2006….I used exactly the above to get started….a laptop, imovie and an appointment…that business grew to 6 figures.
